BEGINNER COURSE IN HOMEOPATHY

DURATION -20+ hours

The Beginner’s Course in Homeopathy is a 20+ hour Free Certificate Course designed for students and early learners. It covers core subjects such as Organon, Case Taking, Materia Medica, Repertory, and Potency through a blend of recorded sessions and limited live interactions. The course includes module-wise assessments and a final case-solving evaluation to promote applied understanding and foundational clarity.

 

CURRICULUM

MODULE 1 – FOUNDATION (4 Sessions)

SESSIONS:

  • Introduction to Homeopathy – Dr. Gaurang Gaikwad 

  • Case Taking – Dr. Gaurang Gaikwad 

  • Introduction to Organon – Dr. Shyama Bora 

AIMS:

This module introduces the foundational concepts of Homoeopathy, including basic principles, case taking, and the Organon of Medicine. It equips students with 30+ key clinical pointers and builds a strong base for understanding and applying homeopathic philosophy in practice.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe the basic principles of Homoeopathy, including the concept of totality and drug differentiation.

  2. Follow a systematic approach to case taking using key clinical pointers and observations.

  3. Interpret and apply key aphorisms from the Organon in clinical decision-making.

  4. Recognize the clinical utility of philosophical principles in real-life cases.

MODULE 2 – STUDYING MATERIA MEDICA (10 sessions)

Sessions –

  • How to Study Materia Medica by Dr Gaurang Gaikwad

  • Arsenic, Sulphur, Rhus tox, Lachesis, Theridion, Nux Vomica, Phosphorus, Staphysagria, Belladonna

 

AIMS:

This module aims to introduce students to various sources of Materia Medica and highlight their clinical relevance. Through real case discussions, it demonstrates the practical application of remedies while helping learners grasp the concept of remedy genius, totality, drug relations, and rubric analysis. The sessions also train students in the effective use of repertory and comparative Materia Medica for accurate remedy differentiation in both acute and chronic cases.

 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand how to study Materia Medica using the various materia medicas and the significance of each of them.

  2. In depth understanding of Polycrest remedies and their application in the cases including: Varicose veins, Ankylosing spondylitis, Appendicitis, Post-stroke paralysis, Acute fever, COVID pneumonia, Psoriasis and backache on the basis of indications.

  3. Explain the genius of polycrest remedies and their wide clinical applications.

  4. Use repertory and layered symptom understanding for more accurate remedy selection.

 

MODULE 3 – Repertory & Case Solving (2 sessions)

AIMS:

This module sharpens clinical accuracy through repertory-based case analysis. It covers types of repertories, the philosophy of Kent’s repertory, and practical rubric hunting. Learners are trained to translate patient language into rubrics and apply repertorial tools confidently in real cases.

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  1. Explain the philosophy and structure of various basic repertories.

  2. Translate patient language and symptoms into appropriate homeopathic rubrics.

  3. Analyse cases using repertory tools.

 

MODULE 4 – DOSAGE: POTENCY AND REPETITION

Sessions:

  • Potency Selection – Dr. Shivani Shukla 

  • Repetition of Doses – Dr. Utsav Katariya

Aims:

This module provides a clear understanding of potency selection and dose repetition in homeopathy. It covers Centesimal, Decimal, and LM/Q scales, focusing on individualizing decisions based on case type, sensitivity, and vitality. Learners gain practical skills to decide when to repeat, change, or pause a remedy.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand the different types of potencies (Centesimal, Decimal, LM/Q) and their clinical significance.

  2. Choose appropriate potency based on case sensitivity, acuteness, chronicity, and vitality of the patient.

  3. Decide the frequency of repetition and recognize signs of aggravation, amelioration, and remedy reaction.

  4. Apply Hahnemannian guidelines and modern interpretations to manage follow-ups.

  5. Adjust potency and repetition based on clinical feedback and individual patient response.

  6. Avoid common mistakes in over- or under-prescribing potencies and learn when to wait, repeat, or change the remedy.

 

MODULE 5 – Learning from Masters (3 sessions)

  • Clinical Experience – Part 2

  • Acutes & How to Study Materia Medica – Dr. Shishir Paranjpe  

AIMS: 

This module aims to provide practical clinical exposure across key specialties like gynaecology, paediatrics, diabetes, anorectal disorders, and behavioral Materia Medica. It focuses on remedy differentiation, real-case approaches, and practical methods shared by senior clinicians to help learners sharpen their decision-making and clinical confidence. It also introduces students to the concept of miasms.

MODULE 6 – MIASMS

Aim: To understand Hahnemann’s concept of miasms, their evolution, and their clinical application in case analysis and chronic disease management.

Learning Outcomes:

Understand the origin and development of miasmatic theory.

Identify key features of Psora, Sycosis, Syphilis, and later miasms.

Recognize clinical expressions of different miasms.

Apply miasmatic analysis in case-taking and remedy selection.

Integrate miasmatic understanding in managing chronic conditions.
